Call Recording and Monitoring Notice
Some calls made by or on behalf of GrowthDesk VA clients are recorded or monitored for quality, training, campaign oversight and dispute resolution. This notice explains the baseline practice. A campaign may use stricter controls when applicable law or a client instruction requires them.
1. Notice and consent
When a call may be recorded or monitored, the caller gives a disclosure before substantive questions begin. The wording will be similar to: “This call may be recorded and monitored for quality and training. Is that alright with you?”
Where applicable law requires affirmative consent from every party, persistent recording begins only after consent is given. Any automatic pre-consent buffer must be discarded if consent is not obtained.
2. If you decline
The caller will stop or avoid recording and monitoring, then either continue unrecorded where the approved system permits or end the call politely. You do not have to give a reason.
3. Why calls may be recorded or monitored
- To review call quality and coach the assigned caller.
- To score calls against an approved quality rubric.
- To let the client review treatment of its prospective customer.
- To investigate a complaint or dispute about what was said.
4. Who may access a recording
Access is limited to authorized GrowthDesk VA personnel, the client on whose behalf the call was made, and service providers that host or secure the client’s approved calling system. We do not publish or sell call recordings.
5. Retention
Recordings are retained under the applicable client’s campaign instructions and system settings, subject to legal hold, dispute and compliance needs. They are not kept indefinitely without a documented reason. Contact us for the retention rule that applies to a specific call.
6. Requests about a recording
You may ask whether we hold a recording involving you, or request access, correction or deletion where applicable law provides that right. Email hello@growthdeskva.com with the telephone number and approximate date and time. When we process the recording for a client, we will send the request to that client and assist with its response.
7. Laws vary by location
Recording and monitoring rules differ by state and country. GrowthDesk VA uses disclosure and consent as a baseline, then applies campaign-specific settings for the locations being called. This public notice does not replace the legal and system review required before a campaign begins.
